YouthReach School Based Social Work

School Based Social Work is a one of the services provided by YouthReach to reach out to the atŠ\risk youths in the school with the aim of empowering them to become resilient and responsible.

Our School Based Social Work takes on a holistic approach that comprises of preventive, developmental and remedial programmes to support the students in integrating successfully into school, home and the community.

We are also a registered service provider with MCYS to provide enhanced STEPUP (School Social Work To Empower Pupils to Utilise Potential) Service.

For Youth
  • To equip students with at least one life skill, gained self-awareness and sense of self worth.
  • To enable students to understand the risk and consequences of their action on self and others and hence make responsible choices.
  • To provide opportunity for positive studentadult interaction
  • To provide appropriate support and guidance for students in managing their developmental challenges
  • To prevent youth delinquency, such as reduction in reoffending amongst offender and prevention of anti-social behaviours amongst non-offenders
  • To enhance students' awareness of services and resources available to them.
For Youth & Family
  • To equip parents with skill to understand, connect and support their youths.
  • To enhance communication between parents and youths so as to improve relationship
For Youth & Teachers
  • To equip teachers with skill for self-care in their role as carer
  • To enhance teachers with skill to understand, connect and support their students.

  • To encourage and support students towards integration with their varied systems by being involved in school, employment or in community project
